Wealth and Poverty - There Must Be Ways to Benefit All
Adam Smith wrote of prosperity and progress in the Wealth of Nations, and perhaps a hundred thousand economists and political analysts have written since. Think and Grow Rich, a company that I gave some of my life to preached at me about, back in the 1990s.
In the United States Republicans and Democrats, and of course the Libertarians, and Socialists (feeling the Bern) think that they have the best way of sharing the money, helping society move along. A way to make us all successful. Let there be no have-nots. Taxes, government programs, academic and theoretical formulas and divinations figuring out how to alleviate poverty, corruption, wealth dissemination and distribution.
Some religions have plans, non-government organizations, the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, European Union, and so many think-tanks have their plans and solutions.
Taxes, governments, democracies or monarchies, republics and committees of leaders and philanthropic groups. Banks and corporations help themselves, but also help a lot of people. Work.
Work helps people. Karl Marx knows this.
Mao and Stalin knew this, beyond all the pushes to kill millions.
Work and taxes, if we can get those right then we can be all right.
Be more efficient with fuel and food.
We can do this.
