The Lord is Working on It. But He Needs our Help

The Lord is Working on It. But He Needs our Help

I spoke to the father of an apostle today. His number was onine; he was friendly. And informative. He is not a member of my faith, but is an 89 year-old committed believer as a break off church that owns some key land that they famously claim. Part of the new Jerusalem. Their church is small, but apparently growing well in parts of Africa, the Phillipines, and the Yucatan of Mexico.

They currently have nince apostles instead of twelve. Things happen patiently, Bob explained. Maybe we spoke about 20 minutus? He is the secretary of their church, which seems to be part of the leadership. They have their main membership in Missouri, but some members in Tennessee, Florida, New York. And those places listed above.

Apostles travel and evangelize, as per the definition of being such.

I spoke to one of their back in 1997; according to Bob Oldham it had to be Bill Sheldon. Before him a great one was Maynard Canes.

They are not big in number, but devoted and committed to the Lord.

Meanwhile, most of humanity disagrees on who is serving the Lord, and if He exists. How is He, what does He want? Is it a He. Why not a She? Why not both? Why not many? And very often, none at all.

The "nones" may have it. My old supervisor boss Goldberg wondered if I was saying "nuns". No, those who ascribe to no belief system or nothing. Perhaps science and humanitarianism, at best.

But there are a few billion believers, too.

Although we cannot all agree on who has the authority and the truth.

So be it. Jesus, the Lord, will have His day.

    We believe.

As it says in the Third book of Nephi.
