White Sox - Had a Chance Before the Final Hubris
We had high hopes for the Chicago White Sox in 2022. But they disappointed from start to finish. I was a bit chagrined by this finish this last month. One player, while the Sox were on a little good run in September, talked smack about the division leading Cleveland Guardians, and now the proud or over-confident Pale Hose have just lost three straight to, yes swept, by those same Guardians (former Indians).
They trail the division leaders by seven games now, instead of potentially 2 or so. Doable. The Sox were not healthy and whole most of the season, they had disappointing hitting and pitching at all levels and positions. They had some good games, but as many bad ones.
Maybe next year.
