Serena Williams, You're the Greatest

 Serena Williams, You're the Greatest

I had the privilege of watching your last two rounds in the U.S. Open. Wow, great drama! Great emotion. Great nostalgia. Great skill. Great determination.

Great all around. I am pretty sure that you would beat Margaret Court, even when you are 45. I hope you may have another child, because that child will be so blessed. One child mother or not, you have blessed us greatly.

    Thank you!

Thanks to older sis Venus, thanks to your mother and dad, thanks to your coaches, and thanks to this amazing and inspiring sport.

I have enjoyed watching the greats since the 1970s. The last two decades we have had Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, and you. You are the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the Four Presidents of the Tennis Mount Rushmore.

You have been an awesome, sweet, inspirational, true competitor and winner. And I expect more greatness from you in anything that you do in the years to come.

Thank you so much, and God bless you, as He has blessed us through you.

Alja Tomjanovic: congratulations and best of luck!

The sport will continue, and is full of suspense and artistic skill and gritty fighters and numerous personalities. All credit to Ms. Court, who helped build the history and pageantry of  it.

    Serena: always a winner. Forever.

    Amazing.
