Kyrie Irving is Great and Toxic: The American Dream and Nightmare

Kyrie Irving is Great and Toxic: The American Dream and Nightmare

He can dribble and shoot like few we have ever seen. The man has skills with a basketball that are really special. He is more or less the reason why Lebron James won the title in the City of Rock and Roll a few years back, but then he pushed on to Boston, then Brooklyn. Now it will be Dallas.

He has asked for it. He left King James high and dry after making a huge seventh game, game winning shot. Then Beantown. Not good enough there. Now the Gothamites have seen him with super stars, and he came and is gone. Let's see what he can do in Texas. Doncic will score less, maybe rebound more?

Kyrie is no spring chicken now, and he has a history of getting hurt.

He is the best and worst, and that is not even counting his unwillingness to get vaccinated, costing his team years of built-up investment and hopes, now to be dashed about as bad as Ron "Head Case" Artest did to the Indiana Pacers almost twenty years ago. Not the Malice in the Palace, the "become a rapper" part a year later. What a head case.

Kyrie is better than Ron Artest, but key to a team's hopes all the same.

Sorry, Brooklyn. You have been KY-RIED.

The best and the worst that you can think of.

    Like our great country.

Tyre rhymes with Kyrie. RIP Mr. Nichols. Sorry it went that way.
