My Ma Would Have been 85 Tomorrow...

My Ma Would Have been 85 Tomorrow...

But she died at 73. Do all of us have a specially designated time when we will live and die? Over this holiday weekend it went super tragic and many were killed by flash floods in central Texas by the heavy rainfall that pushed the Guadeloupe River way over its banks. Dozens have been killed and are still missing.

Now we are a day later. I brought up my mom to family members a few times yesterday. I mentioned to my oldest daughter and wife last night that she had written about how her seven diseases were battled by her 7 Guardian angels, who were her first seven grandchildren, including that self-same eldest daughter.

Earlier in the day talking to my two youngest, I explained some vacations and visits with my mom, the last winter that she was alive.

I have scattered papers of my mother, like so many other papers and notes from over the years, that I would like to assemble and organize.

    Blog it, post it.

Love my mom! We think, or at least some of us, that she is still doing her work and guardianship over us.

I said last night that I will see her, and be with her again. I told that to my oldest, most senior immediate family in my life.

    Lucky to have them.

We are sometimes reduced to papers, or digital trails.

    Thus it is.
