And then there Were Eight: '22 Playoffs

And then there Were Eight: '22 Playoffs

The Cardinals, Mets, Blue Jays and Rays are done. Eight teams left now.
The Houston Astros host the Seattle Mariners, and the home team is proving resilient. Yordan Alvarez crushes clutch home runs.
The Yankees are so far up on the Guardians, in the Bronx.
The decade of the Guardians, with Space Force and the Marvel Universe heroes.

The Padres have tied it up 1-1 with the powerful L.A. Dodgers.
The Phillies and Braves are going at it, despite the rain.

I want the Padres and Mariners, winners of 0 World Series. The Braves won last year, and in the 90s; the Dodgers won the year before that, and multiple before that. The Yankees have won W.S. galore, and Houston a handful of years before. Cleveland not since 1946. That would be the third best champion. Phillies last won in 2008.

Play on. Get past the rain.
