Jealousy
We can be prone to suffer from this feeling. We can feel that others have things or that they are a way that we are envious of, while not appreciating our own lot enough.
Being grateful for our own station is key. Be thankful for who you are, what you have, what you have the power to do and feel. You cannot be too jealous of other people. This is not healthy.
I am not going to be too deep or profound in this, but I do like to think it out, and record it, these thoughts and statements, to more fully understand how to work around it.
Here is a thought: perhaps we can be less jealous of things of the past, where we can be guilty of thinking of things or accomplishments that we did not achieve, therefore, we become envious of others for where we are now. Then there is a present jealousy where we are concerned and envious or unsure for our status in the future. We may fear what will happen in the future, and we may be jealous of how others will have more or may be happier than us down the road.
How are we jealous? We covet other people's money, disposable income, professions, power, who they are around or belong to. What they do, who they are related to, or hang out with, or where they are able to go. Vacations, special concerts.
Money and wealth are reasons enough to be jealous of others. Because those things lead to many other possibilities and privileges. We can be jealous of other peoples' talents.
Yeah.
Ugh.
Thus we are, thus we can be.
However, we can overcome these things. We can learn not to be jealous, and work or fashion ourselves to be appreciative of what we are and who we have become. We can work for having better things and attributes for ourselves.
We can have faith in higher and better things, or deity, or systems, that will help us transcend earthly and other emotional hang ups.
We have to strive to overcome jealousy. We can pray to be freed of such matters.
Yes. We have other ways to combat jealousy.
We should embrace what we can.
I should read what the prophets have shared.
Yes. Today.
My prophets speak of Jesus. He urges us to overcome and not stress about the other things that can drag us down. Focus on Him.
Follow His words and be perfected. Be humble, yet powerful.
We shall do this today. Happy Easter.
We shall not fall prey to the jealousies and frailties of the rest. We can do better.
Follow what you know to beat jealousy and envy.
We can. Will I?
To be continued.
