Brigham Young Football Triumphs over the Mustangs. Again. Luck Involved?
I watched it, getting over a sickness for this week.
Glad we won. Good Cougar crowd in Dallas.
Retzlaff almost gave the ball away a few times to really hurt the defensive stops, but the defense came up big time after time. Some key fourth down plays led to the lead and winning in the end. Next up? Wyoming.
LJ Martin and Hinkley Ropati got hurt, but Martin came back in. A little known short Hawaiin back came in and did some good things. Miles Davis was stuffed earlier, but ran off a hug fourth and short to set up the gain winning field goal, by Ferrin, who missed a long one to end the first half.
Hopefully we are healthy enough to continue. Jake the Snake was erratic, but he came up enough to get the win. Defense was key. Turnovers and takeaways hurt them more.
BYU, since 1980, have some luck against these guys. Including the bowl a couple short years ago, a goal-line stand.
We know about the Miracle Bowl in 1980.
May it keep going. Hopes of Bowling, 2024.
