Tales and Spells: Herman Melville

I just learned that the great writer of Moby Dick wrote Billy Budd, Sailor, right before his death.

Makes sense to me. He cast a spell on me.

    Right. His earlier book mesmerized me but rendered me thwarted with his biggest classic! But I have read "The Essex", and perhaps I have undone the spell, or curse...
