They Fell in Love with a Guy Who Worked and Played

They Fell in Love with a Guy Who Worked and Played

I knew a couple of young ladies in the college days who grew to like me. A couple of them knew me through living circumstances. They were young, innocent, inexperienced. Me, I was a nice guy, described by many as cute and endearing. Of course, there were plenty of young ladies in those times who did not reciprocate my affections or interest. My ego was not out of check, but I did feel boosted at times when someone flattered me with their words or acts of praise or compliments towards me.

Thus, the great zig zag of life, the comings and goings of feelings of love, crush, infatuation, or distraction that occurs to our hearts and minds when it comes to others.

We see and know others. We grow in affection towards them. Sometimes they show it back, but things do not work out. Sometimes we go forward with the person in friendship and courtship and romance, and feelings become elevated and shared, and then things change again. Feelings rise and fall and eventually an outcome of break up or going forward with more serious obligations is the result.

Serious commitment and marriage arise. Marriage become the next step for many, as happens.

So the earlier interludes of crush and liking can seem like puppy love, as opposed to the later stages of full adult dog intimacy.

There are differing levels of love and bond, twitterpation and ecstasy, if you will.

    Yeah. Chew on that.

    Normal, yes.

Yes, this is life and living.
